Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: September 24, 2026

These SMS Terms and Conditions (the “SMS Terms”) govern text messages sent by or on behalf of SymTec LLC (“SymTec,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), located at 101 E Nichols Canyon Road, Suite A-4, Cedar City, Utah 84721. By opting in to or using a SymTec text messaging service, you agree to these SMS Terms, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.

1. SMS Program Description

SymTec’s text messaging program provides customer-care and service-related communications. Depending on your relationship with SymTec and the consent you provide, messages may include:

  • IT support ticket acknowledgments, questions, status updates, and resolution notices;
  • Appointment, onsite visit, and remote-support reminders;
  • Service-impacting maintenance, outage, security, and account notifications;
  • Requests to confirm, reschedule, or provide information related to a service request; and
  • Other operational messages that you specifically request or authorize.

Marketing or promotional text messages, if any, will be sent only when SymTec has obtained the level of consent required for those messages. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

2. Opting In and Consent

You may opt in through a SymTec web form, a written or verbal request, by initiating a text conversation with SymTec, or by another clearly disclosed method. The opt-in request will identify SymTec, describe the types of messages you are agreeing to receive, and provide applicable message-frequency, charge, help, and opt-out disclosures.

By providing a mobile number and opting in, you represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number and are authorized to consent to receive text messages at that number. Your consent applies only to the SymTec messaging program described at the time you opt in and is not transferable.

3. Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on your service activity, support needs, and the messaging program to which you consented. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s rates and terms govern any charges. SymTec does not charge a separate fee merely to participate in the SMS program.

4. Opting Out

You may revoke consent at any time. Reply STOP to a SymTec text message to unsubscribe from messages sent from that number. We also honor other reasonable opt-out requests, including common commands such as CANCEL, END, QUIT, and UNSUBSCRIBE. After opting out, you may receive one final confirmation message. No further messages will be sent through that program unless you provide renewed consent. Where supported, reply START to resubscribe.

5. Help and Support

Reply HELP for assistance. You may also contact SymTec at (435) 572-4676 or through our contact page. Support and opt-out instructions are available without requiring you to purchase any product or service.

6. Privacy and Use of Mobile Information

We use information provided through the SMS program to send and manage messages, respond to you, provide support, maintain records of consent and preferences, protect our services, and comply with applicable law. We may disclose information to telecommunications carriers, messaging platforms, aggregators, and service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the messaging program, or when disclosure is required by law.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties for unrelated purposes. For more information, review our Privacy Policy.

7. Delivery, Availability, and Carriers

Text message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Messages may be delayed or fail because of carrier filtering, network availability, device settings, an invalid or reassigned number, or other circumstances outside SymTec’s control. SymTec and participating carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages to the extent permitted by law. Not all mobile devices or carriers may support every messaging feature.

8. Your Responsibilities

  • Keep your mobile number and contact information accurate.
  • Notify SymTec or opt out if your number changes, is reassigned, or is no longer under your control.
  • Do not send unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, malicious, or confidential information by text unless SymTec has directed you to use an approved secure method.
  • Use reasonable care when acting on a text message. SymTec will not request your password, multifactor authentication code, or full payment-card details by SMS.

9. Changes to These SMS Terms

We may update these SMS Terms to reflect changes to our messaging program, technology, or legal requirements. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively, and we will provide additional notice when required.
